Description
In the western part of the Indian Ocean, just south of the equator, there are islands that can confidently be called a paradise on earth – the Seychelles. The map of the archipelago began to fill in the 16th century, when Admiral Vasco da Gama, sailing by, designated them as Admiral, and Portuguese cartographers first mapped Mahé – the largest island at the moment, where the capital of the Seychelles, Victoria, is located.
